In this position you will be working on a variety of projects dealing with generation facilities owned by MRES and its member municipalities including, but not limited to, combustion turbines, reciprocating engines, solar and battery storage, wind turbines, and hydroelectric turbines. This may include short-term responsibilities involving any or all of the following: research, field work, updating AutoCAD drawings, data entry, and asset management documentation.

 

 

Qualifications:    

  • Demonstrated CAD drafting skills (some on-the-job experience is preferred).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Desire to pursue a career in the energy industry.
  • Completed and have high school diploma and reaching the age of 18, and plans or has started higher education; college or vocational-technical training.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma.        
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.  
  • Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. 
  • Ability to follow safety procedures as well as written and verbal instructions.
  • Able to interact and communicate effectively with co-workers and the public.
